Kelly’s Peppermint Patty Toddy
This is a genius idea from Kelly - amazing how she can get all the "sweet treat" feel without breaking a single slow-carb rule! Kelly writes: "I have been doing well on 4HB, but I always miss having a sweet little treat in the evenings. One night while having my peppermint tea, I decided to try adding some cocoa. If you like dark chocolate and peppermint, give this a try!"
Ingredients
- peppermint tea - 2 bags
- cocoa powder - 2 tbs. unsweetened
- cinnamon - 1 pinch
- vanilla extract - a few drops
- half and half - 1 tbs. - skip if you're being hardcore slow-carb
Instructions
Spoon the 2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder into a mug. Fill mug with boiling water while stirring. Add dash of cinnamon and few drops of vanilla extract. Put in the two tea bags. Steep for at least 5 minutes, then enjoy.
